Cuvee's Aspen Food & Wine Celebrity Chef Dinner
The Food & Wine Classic's annual festival in Aspen is among the most sought after and sold out events for foodies and wine & spirits aficionados everywhere. Cuvee Escapes hosted its 2014 Gala surrounding the festival and kicked off the weekend by treating attendees to a 'Celebrity Chef Wine Paring Dinner' on the terrace of it's nearby property situated amongst the Aspen trees on a highly desirable section of the Rio Grand Trail overlooking the Roaring Fork River. The elegant, modern sounds of the quartet Spinphony coasted through the air and mingled with the rustling of tree brings and babbling of the adjacent river, while guests sipped on rose and toured the recently remodeled property. Beautiful rustic florals by Susan's Flowers set a subtle mountain elegance to the ambiance of the evening as candelabras glowed, guests found their seat with antique frames containing their photo as keepsakes of the night. A six course wine paired dinner was prepared by Hosea Rosenberg of Blackberry Farms Catering, winner of the hit Bravo TV Show 'Top Chef Season 5: Bright Knives, Big City'. The elegant menu selections were paired with exquisite varietal selections by Master Sommelier Jay Fletcher, Head of the Court of Master Sommoliers of the Americas. Each course was eloquently presented and described by each specialist allowing guests to ask questions and learn about the sensational selections they were about to try. As afternoon fell to evening and the stars spread across the mountain sky, attendees finished the night with dancing, cognac and cigars on the patio before retiring to the 5 Star, 5 Diamond world class resort, The Little Nell to prepare for the festivities of the weekend ahead.
